The project manager for OurIMPACT is Dr. Mac Adkins.  Dr. Adkins was one of the authors of the 2002 Alabama Course of Study in Technology Education.  Additional DECADE consultants assisting with OurIMPACT include Dr. Rhonda Bowron (instructional design), Dr. Julia Hartman (statistical analysis), Dr. Jan Oliver (emerging technologies) and Dr. Vivian Wright (technology integration).

 

Dr. Mac Adkins, Project Manager

Dr. Mac Adkins serves as the Dean of Distance Learning for Troy State University Montgomery.  He provides leadership for the online, television, and print-based distance learning programs of TSUM.  Prior to this position he served as the Director of Instructional Design and Technology for the TSU College of Education.  In this role he provided leadership, training and support for faculty and students as they integrated technology into the teaching and learning process.

          Dr. Adkins received his Doctor of Education degree from Auburn University in 1998.  His major for the degree was Educational Leadership with minors in Educational Technology and Statistical Analysis.  

 

Dr. Rhonda Bowron

Dr. Rhonda Bowron is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching in the College of Education at Troy State University.  Dr. Bowron's area of expertise is in the integration of technology into the teaching and learning process.

 

 

Dr. Julia Hartman

Dr. Julia Hartman servers as the Manager of the Alabama Online High School.  Dr. Hartman's core competencies are in the areas of distance education as well as statistical analysis.

 

Dr. Jan Oliver

Dr. Jan Oliver is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching in the College of Education at Troy State University.  Dr. Oliver's area of expertise is in the infusion of emerging technologies into the curriculum

 

 

Dr. Vivian Wright

Dr. Vivian Wright is an Assistant Professor in Technology Education at the University of Alabama.  Dr. Wright's core competencies are in the area of technology Integration in P-16 programs and its effects on the institution's culture.
